Description

Warning: the manufacturer of MyTret does not seal the tubes, strangely. This means you have to trust us that it is a new tube (which it is, obviously!). Also, a bit of product may have spilled in the cap of the tube. Annoyingly as this is for a seller (it is already hard to gain trust for selling prescription medication without needing a prescription), MyTret is such a nice product that we continue selling it despite this unfortunate choice of the manufacturer.

Although the active ingredient in tretinoin cream/gel and tretinoin microspere gel is the same, the vehicle is not. The vehicle is the base that delivers the active ingredient to the skin. Tretinoin comes in different forms: cream and gel. When you apply tretinoin, the full potency of the drug is immediately delivered to the skin. Because you get the full potency of the medication all at once, the risk of side effects – particularly dryness and irritation – is increased. Tretinoin microsphere gel is formulated differently and is available only as a gel. After it is applied, some of the medication is held in reserve and slowly released into the skin. This allows the medication to remain effective for longer. Tretinoin microsphere gel consists of microspheres of tretinoin that break open over time instead of all at once. As a result, there is less chance of irritation. This does not mean that it never causes dryness or irritation, but it is generally less likely than with normal tretinoin cream/gel.

Retino-A (Tretinoin) is a topical form of vitamin A which is applied to the skin to treat acne. It works by affecting the growth of cells in the skin, and helps to heal acne pimples and rejuvenate the skin. Some patients use this product to help reduce fine wrinkles and to improve the overall outlook of their skin.

Retino-A (Tretinoin) is applied topically to the face. Patients should ask their doctor if they are unsure of the proper application procedure. You must ensure that your hands, as well as the area of skin requiring treatment are clean before you apply the cream. Use a gentle cleanser to wash your face, and gently dry it. Your doctor may tell you to apply it once per day, just before you go to bed. In some cases, 8 to 12 weeks of applying this cream may be required in order for the full benefits to be noticed. Acne may appear to worsen at the start of treatment, however, with continued treatment it should improve. Keep using the cream as directed by your doctor.
